Board of Directors
Becca is not only our new club president but she is also our first-aid champ and actual real live nurse. She is probably helping a patient and simultaneously checking her TeamSnap to see if she is supposed to be at soccer or at baseball. She manages multiple teams for her two active lads and still finds time to sit on the Board. Eventually she will get tired and have to stop and we'll be able to snap a picture.
Julian, in addition to being an archive of all things soccer, was the coach of the past U13 girls team and is a Team Captain in Adult Co-ed. He is wearing his cleats at the breakfast table, talking in two languages about going to soccer after he plays some soccer. He is also our numbers guru and gives us input on club growth strategy.
Past President and Founding Father of BIFC
David has finally recovered from being nutmegged by Morgan and Burns over the years on the soccer pitch. Part of his recovery, according to his therapist, was being President of BIFC over the last couple of years. Now that he has finally regained his confidence and can walk again with dignity on the field with a ball, David felt it was time to pass on the baton to Becca to take over this wonderful club that brings a smile to so many people of all ages on our little island!"
Founding Father of BIFC
Morgan has played, coached and been working in soccer for the last 30 years. He is a two-time Adult coed league champion and lists his proudest soccer moment as when he nutmegged BIFC past president David Verlee three times in a row during a game. We are grateful to Morgan for submitting his passport photo for our general entertainment.
Deidre is going for the all-around prize. She has coached Development, League, ran indoor soccer, played Adult Co-ed, took on a Team Captain role and then ran for the Board. We're somewhat concerned that she needs a new hobby, but we can't live without her so we won't mention it.
Coach Jill has been on the field coaching our smallest players as well as league team for the last 4 years. New to the Board in 2016, she can usually be spotted running around with her 3 boys on a pitch somewhere. When not standing in the pouring rain for BIFC with a big smile on her face, she is dreaming of the next coaching clinic.
Dominic joined BIFC in 2016 when he was new to the island. He showed up at the AGM and walked out as a Board Member. This year is is taking on the Equipment Manager role with gusto! This may, or may not be a picture of him.
Dayna joined the BIFC team in September of 2016. She herself has never stepped foot on a Soccer Pitch. But, ask her about registration, schedules, TeamSnap or payments and she will WOW you with her fancy foot work. Questions? She's the one to ask and will do her best to point you in the right direction
