NEW for Fall 2019!  We are pleased to introduce this program for players aged 40+.

Under the expert guidance of Harry Hubball, players will participate in 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 mini games on small pitches.  Training objectives are as follows:

  • increase fitness;
  • more touches with the ball;
  • increase soccer skills and team effectiveness;
  • less running, and more box-to-box exciting soccer (including sessions on competitive walking soccer).


Dates:  Tuesdays (Aug 20 & 27, Sept 10 & 17, Oct 1 & 8).

Times:  7-8pm (6.30-7.30pm in Sept/Oct)

Location:  BICS Turf

Harry is a resident of Bowen Island and is the Director and Head Coach of the INTER UBC Masters 5v5/Futsal Research & Soccer Academy Program (1999-Present).  Harry is the founding Chairperson of the International Masters 5-a-side/Futsal World Cup and Symposium (2006-Present). He coaches two UBC-based masters 5-a-side teams (65+ & 55+ age categories) who play in this annual tournament which is held in the UK & Europe. In 2014, Harry started the 55-70+ competitive walking soccer program at UBC, and also led the walking soccer programs for BCoTS, NSGSC, GF Strong Rehab Centre, and the Hillcrest Community Centre in Vancouver. Drawing on longitudinal sports science research and masters football coaching, Harry and colleagues have investigated International-Regional-Local Perspectives of Masters (50+) Football: Customised Game Structures; Team and Player Development; Performance Analysis; & Health Promotion.
