WELCOME TO THE BIFC SKILLS CLUB
BIFC Skills Club is new for Fall 2018/19 season. It is a technical skills development program open to all Youth League players U9 - U12.
Skills Club training sessions are distinctive from regular team practices in that they will focus on the individual player and each players improvement through the program.
All sessions will be run by Ravi Fisher a West Van FC Senior Staff Coach who has a B Provincial License and he will have the support of Jordan Gibbons a WVFC Junior Coach (and Bowen resident).
Session times: One hour between 3.30-6.30pm on Thursdays. Players will be grouped according to age.
Session dates and session plans
Sept 13 – Intro session – warm up, technical drills and small sided games
Sept 20 – Ball work – dribbling, footwork – all individually based
Sept 27 – 1v1’s and 2v2’s – make it competitive and introduce 1v1 battles
Oct 4 – Control and touches – all individually based
Oct 11 – Passing drills - Passing, moving and receiving the ball – short and long
Oct 18 – Shooting drills – control and finish – timing, target and quality focused
Oct 25 – Ball work – dribbling, footwork – all individually based
Nov 1 – Control and touches – all individually based
Nov 8 – Passing drills - Passing, moving and receiving the ball – short and long
Nov 15 – Small sided games
Space is limited. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis.
