BIFC is pleased to announce we will be entering Phase 2 of BC Soccer’s Return to Play (which allows for minimal contact) and as a result we will be running our popular Adult Rec League and our new BIFC 5-A-Side League this Fall. Adult skills is on hold for now.
In order to respect and follow the current Phase 2 regulations for Returning to Play, BIFC will need to limit each league to a maximum of 50 players. In addition, players who wish to play in both leagues may be forced to choose one league should our total adult numbers exceed 50.
For example, should we have 25 players registered in the 5-A-Side leagues and 25 players registered in the Rec League then players will be allowed to play both in leagues (should they wish it).
The BIFC Adult Recreational League Fall Season is designed for those seeking to enjoy the beautiful game in a fun, social, friendly and safe environment. Players are selected into teams in a blind draw and play each other in a league play.
The 5-A-Side League will offer a competitive soccer night for those looking to also play at a more competitive - but equally safe and enjoyable environment - than the Recreational League.
- Should our numbers be limited we will look to possibly split the group into drop in cohorts. This decision will be made based on our total numbers of registrations and will be communicated prior to the start of the season.
- In the event these leagues are forced to be postponed (canceled), members will have the option for either a prorated refund or credit (for future season).
- The club has purchased 60 new adult uniforms for league use
- The new and improved (and softer!) AT Field will be ready by the start of league play.
