Bowen Island FC is pleased to announce the winning entry in our nickname contest. We received dozens of suggestions and narrowed our choice down to Bowen Owls, Bowen Antlers and Bowen Arrows. After inviting our members to vote online for their favourite, we are excited to announce Bowen Arrows was the winner!
Arrows edged out Owls in our voting and will be our new nickname moving forward.
Congratulations to Burns Jennings and Kevin and Stef Manning for suggesting Arrows as the new nickname. A big thank you goes out to Beatrice and Felix Hart for suggesting Bowen Owls as well.
Our attention will now turn towards creating a secondary logo to go with our new nickname which we hope to unveil before the start of the Fall season.
