Bowen Island Football Club Founders Award Scholarship

In recognition of its fifteenth anniversary in 2023, BI Football Club created the $1,000 Founders Award Scholarship, available to its former players.

Eligibility: Applicants must:

• Have participated in at least one year of BIFC league play, no matter at which level (i.e. U8-U12);

• Have continued to embody the spirit of the BIFC beyond their membership in the club

• Have contributed to the Bowen community in some way

  
  

There is no age limit or minimum for applicants. All relevant aspects of an applicant’s life will be considered. It is not necessarily the most academically strong applicant who will be chosen.

To apply: Write a letter that speaks to the eligibility criteria noted above.

How to Apply:

STEP 1: Review Available Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards. Read the scholarship and bursary descriptions below to determine which awards you are eligible for.. You may apply for multiple scholarships and bursaries if you meet the eligibility requirements.

STEP 2: Prepare Your Application Documents. Depending on the scholarship, you may need: an application letter, transcript, proof of enrolment or acceptance, reference letter(s) and/or additional supporting documents.. Where letters are required ensure you follow the criteria to provide the requested information.. Save each file using the following file convention: FirstName LastName – Scholarship Name – Document Name – year.pdf e.g. Harrison Butler – BICF Academic  – Transcript – 2026.pdf

STEP 3: Submit Your Application. Complete the online BICF Application Form by the application deadline.

STEP 4: Submit Your Documents. Upload your files with the online application via login with a gmail account or email your documents to grants@bowenfoundation.com.. It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure that they share all of the required documentations for each application.. Check to confirm submission with receipt of a confirmation email.
