Club Announcement: New Board Structure

On April 15 2026 the BIFC Board voted on our new structure, this follows the election of our 2026/27 Board at our March AGM.

Following the vote Andy Gillooley will become our new Club President. Andy has been a member of the BIFC Board since 2023 as well as a coach of our Girls U9 team, The Red Pandas. He brings with him a long history playing soccer, regularly playing in our Adult Coed program and experience in marketing and video production, which he'll bring to the role as we continue to grow and deliver soccer programs for people of all ages and ability on Bowen Island.

Niul Bird who has been a fabulous servant to the Club as Club President and has chosen to step down this year will continue on the Board as Club Secretary. We're incredibly grateful for everything he has done for the club and lucky to be able to count on his experience as we make this transition.

Boris Nikic will continue as our Club Treasurer for a third year bringing continuity and experience to the role.

The remaining Board will be made up of Binny Onqa, Gillian McLean, Lauren Cotter

Lisa Boddy, Rebecca Ander, Ryan Glancy & Susan Gillingham.

Each of these roles are voluntary, we're grateful for the time and energy each of our volunteers put into our local soccer community.

We're excited to have such a strong group to lead the Club forward and eagerly anticipate an exciting upcoming 12 months.
