Bowen Island FC announced today its youth programming has been funded in part by a grant of $5,000 from viaSport BC and the Province of British Columbia. The funding was established to provide needed support for non-profit organizations dealing with the effects of Covid-19.
The funding has been used to support BIFC Fall 2020 programming. The Club has been working within the provincial health authorities and following protocols laid out by viaSport BC and BC Soccer in order to provide much needed recreational activities for Bowen Island youth.
"The Club is extremely grateful and appreciative of the support we have received from viaSport BC", stated BIFC president Andrea Bastin. "This generous grant will go a long way in helping us provide the much needed outdoor activities so many Bowen Island children need at this time and we want to thank the viaSport BC and the Province of British Columbia for helping us provide this opportunity.”
