We are looking for a team nickname.
Bowen Island FC was originally formed in 2007 and was created under the Bowen Island Sport Society with the aim of providing recreational and sport opportunities for the youth of Bowen Island.
The soccer program (BIFC) was launched in 2008 and last year we were pleased to add a rugby program while this Spring we have supported a number of Ultimate “Frisbee” clinics.
With that in mind and as we prepare to enter league play again this Fall with our soccer youth teams we wanted to ask our members to help us come up with a team nickname to be used by all of our sports teams.
In the past various BIFC teams have been called the Bears, Blazers and Arrows and now we want to choose one name to use across all of our teams and potentially on some of our clothing and branding.
Our feeling is the name should represent Bowen Island and/or our community or the region we are lucky enough to live in but we are open to all ideas.
The winning entry will receive a fabulous BIFC clothing package and a free 2021-2022 registration fee or refund and will be announced across our social media along with the winner's name.
Entries will be accepted at GM@bowenfc.com until July 1, 2021. The winner will be announced on July 15, 2021. The contest is open to all BIFC members, parents, coaches, managers, Board members (past and present).
Entries should include the team nickname, name of the entrant and a brief description as to why they chose the name.
